Idol" on Wednesday Photo: Frank Micelotta/ Getty Images/ Fox What's the
use of having a "save" card in your pocket if you never pull it out?
That was the question some "American Idol" fans might have been asking
on Wednesday night, when one of this season's most beloved contestants,
Arizona's Scott MacIntyre, 23, faced elimination. But, once more, the
judges said this was not the week to use the one-time-only reprieve
after the good-natured visually impaired singer failed to impress them
with another weak performance.
I think not using the save option was a good idea. That would be good to be used for either Kris Allen or Lil. I like Scott but he is pretty limited with the voice range. I wish him all the luck in his other endeavors and I know he can record a few songs. My predictions now to be going home soon I think is Anoop or Matt. I don't know, for some reason, this season is still not getting me excited about any of the contestants. A little bit with Kris Allen though. He has a big heart and he seems very genuine. We'll see...
As Twitter is becoming more popular
and your blog’s target audience is increasingly found there, it is a
good time for you to join and incorporate Twitter into your blog. I
have already looked at how to brand your blog on Twitter and how to increase the number of your Twitter followers. This article will show you the top 5 Twitter plugins to incorporate into your WordPress blog.
Add Twitter username field into your blog comments section
- WP Twitip ID plugin adds an extra field to the comment form of your blog so your reader can enter his/her Twitter username. The plugin then displays the Twitter ID in the comment and links it to the Twitter profile of the commenter. See this plugin in action in HowToMakeMyBlog comments section below.
Show reader’s Twitter avatars in comments section
- Twittar plugin lets you show Twitter avatars of your blog commentators by matching the email address in the comment to the user’s Twitter email. If the user doesn’t have a Twitter account, it loads user’s Gravatar image. By installing this plugin you will have a much better looking comments section, with commentators all having an image by their comment. Something similar can be seen in HowToMakeMyBlog comments.
Get tweets about your blog posted as comments
- Tweetbacks plugin imports tweets about your blog posts into your blog comments. You can display them in between the other comments on your blog, or display them separately. So when somebody writes a tweet with your blog URL or any of your article URL’s in it, it will automatically get posted in your blog comments as well.
Let your users tweet your URL’s for more exposure
- TweetThis lets your visitors send tweets about your blog posts. When the reader clicks on the TwitThis button, the plugin takes the URL of your blog article and creates a shorter URL using TinyURL. Then your reader can tweet this shortened URL and a description of your blog article to all their followers on Twitter.
Integrate your tweets into your blog posts and sidebar
- Twitter Tools plugin integrates your Twitter account with your WordPress blog. You can for example create weekly digest of your tweets and get them automatically published on your blog as a new blog post. You can also show your latest tweets in your blog sidebar as a widget.
Hopefully these 5 Twitter plugins will help you on the way to incorporating your Twitter into your blog. Doing this will hopefully make your blog more interactive and more attractive to other Twitter users and should result in more comments from Twitter users, more tweets about your blog and increased number of followers and readers. American Idol took it to the big time Wednesday night, revealing who will be going to the top 10. The votes totaled to over 31 million to pick who will go home and who will have a shot at the Idol crown.
The show started off with a cheesy group number of “Trouble” by Travis Tritt.
Danny Gokey was first standing and after a good performance the night before he was safe. Lil’ Rounds was next up and of course she was staying in the competition. Anoop Desai was also safe and in the top 10. Allison Iraheta was surprisingly in the bottom 3, along with Michael Sarver.

I agree with this one comment by someone on blahgirls.com. American Idol format this year is really upsetting. Too much drama that they are featuring and too many good singers that they are letting go like flies. I think the producer should've conducted a survey of what or how the viewers would like to see in the show. The only reason that they're getting viewers this year because too many people that are out of job so they just end up watching the show cuz it's on a big network.
Here's the comment:
Does anyone else hate this new American Idol format? It’s like, you
have ONE bad night, and you’re out! And the ratio of 3 winners to 9
losers vs 11 winners to 1 loser like last year is so unappealing.
Plus, all that math just confused me. No one wants to watch that many
people lose! And what’s with Anoop being kicked off? So unfair! The
first three winners were like straight out of an Oprah episode: a
widow, a young mom, and a working-class hero. I mean, don’t get me
wrong, I am ALL FOR these people following their dreams and I wish them
all kinds of success but does it have to be so dramatic?! I just want
to hear the SONGS!
